Mission
The main responsibility of the Court of Arbitration for Sport of the Polish Olympic Committee is the task of settling disputes resulting from appealing against the final disciplinary decisions of the Polish sports associations.
The mission of the Court of Arbitration is to protect the rights of parties to disciplinary proceedings, to prevent possible abuse and to ensure compliance with the provisions of law by the disciplinary bodies of Polish sports associations, as well as to help develop the Polish sports law.
The Court of Arbitration is also a permanent court of arbitration acting under the provisions of the Polish Code of Civil Procedure.
The Court of Arbitration is functioning at the Polish Olympic Committee. It enjoys full autonomy and independence in the performance of its functions.
By virtue of the amendment to the Act on sports of September 7, 2015, the Court of Arbitration gained statutory grounds for its activities.
