Arbitrator, Vice-president of the Court

Jarosław Majewski is a professor in legal studies. Since 2002 he has been the head of the Department of Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw. Previously, he was associated with the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, where he obtained his doktor and doktor habilitowany degrees.

Jarosław Majewski joins his scientific and educational activity with legal practice. He is a partner at the Warsaw legal office DeBenedetti Majewski Szcześniak.

In 1997-1999, the deputy director of the Legal Department of PKO BP Central Office, in 1999-2003, a director of the Legal Department of BGŻ S.A. Central Office. He was also a member of the Banking Ethics Commission at the Polish Bank Association.

An Arbitrator of the Arbitration Court at the Polish Bank Association. An Arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport at the Polish Olympic Committee.

In 2012-2016, a member of the Criminal Law Codification Commission at the Minister of Justice.

An author of numerous legal expert opinions prepared, i.a., for the Chancellery of the Sejm.

An author, co-author or editor of over 130 publications in various fields of law, monograph books, commentaries, scientific articles and glosses published in scientific magazines, both domestic and foreign, including, among others, the valued, so-called Cracow commentary to the Polish Criminal Code, the Criminal Law System and studies dedicated to the protection of creditors, protection of trading in securities, banking secrecy and confidential information.
